USDT bridge via USDT0

Stablane moves USDT between Ethereum, Arbitrum and Optimism through USDT0, Tether's own cross-chain channel built on LayerZero. You send USDT on one chain and receive the same amount on the other, with nothing to claim. Stablane adds no fee; you only pay a small LayerZero messaging fee in ETH.

How it works

  1. Ethereum only: approve the USDT0 adapter to move your USDT (one extra signature).
  2. Send: your wallet calls Tether's USDT0 contract on the source chain. On Ethereum your USDT is locked; on Arbitrum and Optimism USDT0 is burned.
  3. LayerZero delivers: independent verifiers confirm the message, then the same amount is released to your address on the destination chain.

Chains and what you receive

  • Ethereum: you receive USDT
  • Arbitrum: you receive USD₮0
  • Optimism: you receive USD₮0

Fees

  • Stablane platform fee: 0.
  • USDT0 token fee: 0; the amount sent arrives in full.
  • LayerZero messaging fee, paid in ETH with the send. Measured at about $0.001–0.04 depending on the route and gas; the form shows the live quote.
  • Source chain gas for the transaction (plus an approval on Ethereum).

Frequently asked questions

Is USDT0 a different token from USDT?

No. USDT0 is how Tether moves USDT across chains. On Arbitrum and Optimism the official USDT is the USDT0 contract, whose symbol is USD₮0; wallets often still label it USDT. On Ethereum you keep holding classic USDT.

How long does a USDT transfer take?

Usually 15–35 minutes. USDT0 waits for several independent verifiers before delivering, so it is slower than USDC over CCTP Fast. Delivery is automatic; you can close the page and check the history later.

What do I pay?

Stablane charges nothing and USDT0 takes no token fee. You pay a LayerZero messaging fee in ETH (a few cents or less) plus normal gas on the source chain.

Do I need gas on the destination chain?

No. LayerZero's executor completes the delivery on the destination chain; you only need ETH on the source chain.

Which chains are supported?

Ethereum, Arbitrum and Optimism. USDT0 has no deployment on Base, Avalanche or Arc yet; to move funds there, use USDC.

Is it safe?

Stablane holds no funds and has no contracts of its own. Your wallet calls Tether's USDT0 contracts directly, and LayerZero carries the message; the risk is that of USDT0 itself.
