EURC bridge via Circle CCTP

EURC is Circle's euro stablecoin, backed 100% by euro and MiCA-compliant. Stablane moves it between Ethereum, Base and Arc with Circle's Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol: EURC is burned on one chain and the same amount is minted natively on the other. Circle's small fee is paid in the source chain's gas coin, so the full amount arrives, and Stablane adds nothing.

How it works

  1. Approve: allow Circle's EURC TokenManager to move exactly the amount you send.
  2. Send: your wallet calls Circle's CrossChainTokenService with a fee quote signed by Circle. EURC is burned, and Circle's fee is paid in the source chain's native coin (ETH, or USDC on Arc).
  3. Attest: once the source transaction is confirmed (seconds with Fast or from Arc, about 15 minutes for Standard from Ethereum or Base), Circle signs the message.
  4. Receive: with automatic delivery Circle mints EURC to your address; otherwise you claim it on the destination chain with one transaction.

Chains

  • Arc: Circle's native EURC
  • Base: Circle's native EURC
  • Ethereum: Circle's native EURC

Circle has deployed EURC on Avalanche but has not opened it for cross-chain transfers yet; Stablane adds it as soon as Circle does. EURC does not exist on Arbitrum or Optimism.

Fees

  • Stablane platform fee: 0.
  • Circle's fee is paid in the source chain's native coin with the send, not deducted from your EURC: the amount you send is the amount that arrives.
  • Circle protocol fee: 0 on routes to or from Arc; a small fixed fee in ETH between Ethereum and Base (about 0.0001 ETH at our last check, the same for any amount).
  • Optional: Fast (usually a fraction of a cent) and automatic delivery (Circle pays the destination gas; priced per route). The form shows the live quote.
  • Source chain gas for the approval and the send. On Arc, gas is paid in USDC.

Frequently asked questions

What is EURC?

EURC is a euro stablecoin issued by Circle, backed 100% by euro and redeemable 1:1 for euro. In the EU it is issued by Circle Internet Financial Europe SAS, an electronic money institution authorized in France, as an e-money token under MiCA.

Is the EURC I receive real EURC?

Yes. Circle's CCTP burns EURC on the source chain and mints native EURC on the destination. There is no wrapped token and no liquidity pool in between.

Why is the fee paid in ETH (or USDC on Arc) instead of EURC?

For EURC, Circle charges its fee in the source chain's native coin, sent along with the transaction. That keeps the EURC amount exact: what you send is what arrives. Keep a little ETH on Ethereum or Base, or USDC on Arc.

How long does an EURC transfer take?

From Arc, seconds. From Ethereum or Base, Fast takes under a minute; Standard waits for Ethereum finality, about 15 minutes.

Which chains are supported?

Ethereum, Base and Arc. Circle has deployed EURC on Avalanche but not yet opened it for cross-chain transfers, and EURC does not exist on Arbitrum or Optimism.

Is it safe?

Stablane holds no funds and has no contracts of its own. Your wallet calls Circle's contracts directly with a fee quote signed by Circle; the risk is that of Circle's CCTP and EURC.
